SNOOP: Jackie’s Black, White & Vintage Makeover

Jackie Fucigna is an antiques and flea markets junkie with an eye for clean lines and cozy textures. She’s the owner and curator behind the No. 299 home decor and gift shops in Fairfield and New Canaan. The shops have an amazing selection of cool finds and unique holiday gifts: think artwork, tabletop, pillows, throws, vases, lighting, scented candles, plus jewelry and accessories.

A serial renovator, Jackie and her husband recently bought and gut-renovated a 1940s house in Fairfield. They didn’t change the footprint but they created a completely new home while maintaining classic style. In the back of the home, they opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room and enclosed their sun porch to create a family room. Take the full tour here with Jackie on our “Sunday Snoop” tour!

Jackie’s style is black and white, with pops of greens and lots of vintage finds. We love how she elevated basic boucle chairs from Target with a throw and small pillows from her shop.

The clean white custom kitchen is by John June Custom Cabinietry in Bridgeport. One of her favorite features? The pot-filler! Worth the extra money, she says it’s a lifesaver during dinner - prep.

And one more fun find in Jackie’s home, check out this vintage fire house cabinet Jackie rescued from Monger’s Market and turned into a bar. Cheers to that! The morning of our tour, it was pouring and the light was low, but this home and its owner were a ray of light. Thank you for the tour, cheer and all the great tips Jackie!
