If you loved our two-minute "Saturday Snoop" video tour of interior designer Cristina Villegas' newly renovated Scandi-Boho style stunner, check out the way that it was before. This renovation proves that with vision, anything is possible, even on a budget.

About the reno: coming from her much loved downtown NYC loft, she wanted to keep an open layout with tons of light. A boiler room was moved from the entry to create more space. Floors, walls and window frames were painted white. In the sitting/tv room, exposed wood beams were wrapped and more beams added to create a consistent pattern, then painted glossy white.

The kitchen was a complete gut. The new counters are Soapstone, Cristina chose them "because they are soft but durable." Calacutta marble accents the walls. Christina designed the custom oak cabinets and selected a Fulgar Stove, "because it was cheaper than the competitors and available!"
