SNOOP: Cali Cool in Connecticut

Meet author and Westport Writer’s Workshop instructor Julie Sarkissian - @juliesarkissian. A SoCal native, serial renovator, and self proclaimed “dumpster diver,” she has stellar boho style in fashion, furniture and art, with an eye for a bargain. Julie and her husband co-designed their current home in Westport, a colorful collection of modern art and artifacts. Watch this video to hear her tips on being a #plantparent, decorating with dead things, and finding affordable art.

A few fun facts about the kitchen: the cabinets are painted “Wish” by Benjamin Moore. The pulls are from Emtek. The pendants are from www.originalbtc.com. The walnut countertop is from Board Silly Custom Sawmill, in Ridgefield, CT.

Her curated art collection includes pieces by Carol Summers and Miggs Burroughs. Favorite pillow sources are House of Cindy LA on Etsy, www.therealreal.com and Fragments Identity. Large plants are from www.shopterrain.com. For a house filled with dead things, this one is brimming with life. Thanks for the snoop Cool Julie!
