SNOOP: A Designer’s Mid-Century Makeover

Mid-Century Modern lovers, check out this masterful Post & Beam restoration project in Pound Ridge, NY. Designed and occupied by an acclaimed architect, this home was featured in the NY Times when it was finished in 1970. The Interior Designer, Gerijo Matyka of Tyka Concepts (www.tykaconcepts.com), focused on maintaining the character of the home.

The glass entry flows into the main living area with 18’ wood vaulted ceilings. She kept the original colors of the ceiling and floors and just gave them a little ‘drink’ of poly. Gerijo’s eye for vintage finds is second-to-none. We love the mix of vintage classics with Wayfair and Home Goods finds! The galley kitchen allows for nature views on either side so the home feels “immersed in the landscape.” Well done Gerijo and thanks for the Snoop!
