SNOOP: Shannon’s Saltbox Colonial Home & Studio

Shannon Vindiola is the owner and head designer behind Yozo Studio, an “almost anything” shop - she creates custom letterpress designs from her home studio, which houses several 3000 pound presses. She also designs party gifts, stationary, and other fun things.

She and her family moved to Connecticut from Dallas, Texas, where they had spent 3 years renovating an antique Craftsman. Looking for a new challenge on a faster timeline and wanting a modern home that looked like it had been in New England for generations, they hired a builder and set upon designing from the ground up. We love how her choices of windows, flooring, doors and hardware have an antique look, but the furnishings are fresh and modern, with a sprinkle of industrial. The result is timeless, clean, and so fun. A master of the high/low mix, and an excellent art curator on a budget, Shannon’s home feels finished but not fancy. Check out the tour and let us know what catches your eye!
