SNOOP: Tory's Yes House

Tory and her husband said “yes” to this house—and to moving to Weston, CT—and that simple mantra shaped the home ever since.

Take the full tour below of a home where the answer is (almost) always yes.

Most houses are designed around rules. But this house was designed for two little kids, a big dog, and real life. Interiors photographer Tory Williams created a home where the answer is almost always yes. Yes to jumping on the couch. Yes to dancing on the coffee table. Yes to toys everywhere. Yes to color. Yes to actually living in the space!

Flooded with light and lovingly dubbed “the fishbowl,” this sailing family’s playful mid-century home is one big, open, sun-blasted room filled with art, vintage finds, kid stuff, and boatloads of personality.

Last Thanksgiving, Tory told her husband that if she made dinner, he had to make the table. The result is a beautiful, custom live-edge dining table designed specifically for the space, now anchoring the room and everyday life around it.

A dramatic black accent wall adds contrast, letting the family photo wall stand out.

Is that a porthole? Yes, another fun nautical nod to the family’s life on the water.

The sailing theme is on full display in Tory’s favorite room: the powder room, wrapped in hand-drawn wallpaper by her friend Rachel Mercier. A pale blue wall of Fire Clay tile offers tonal texture.

The kids’ room features a custom bookshelf Tory made herself.

Upstairs, the bedroom is a retreat for the stars—literally. Stargazing from bed is part of the routine.

Take a peek at more stills from Tory throughout the rest of the house.

Tory’s advice? Say yes. Go for it. Just try it.
