The Silo Ridge Mountain Home: A Winter Getaway

Designed by Elana Tenenbaum-Cline of Carta Creatives, this Hudson Valley retreat stood out immediately as one of our favorite winter homes of 2025. The layered, thoughtful interiors come into sharp focus in these striking images by Kyle J. Caldwell.

Softy sculpted furniture sits low and quiet upon a checked, textural rug in the family room - an updated cabin-vibe sets the scene for family gatherings.

In the kitchen Carta took a major risk installing a series of six pendant lights - an echo of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The move is equal parts functional and artful.

But the powder room stole our hearts. Wrapped in a deeply pigmented, hand-worked wall finish, the room feels immersive, warm, and intentionally moody. The walls do most of the heavy lifting, allowing the rest of the elements to remain simple. The mirror acts almost like a piece of furniture, reflecting just enough light to balance the depth of color without diluting its impact.

In the kids’ room, a surprise mural adds pastoral whimsy - and another nod to the home’s location. Best of all, it’s a pattern the kids can grow with.

The primary suite is a study in neutrals, allowing the view to command our attention. A chandelier made of rippled fabric adds softness floating above the sculptural canopy bed. We’d love to wake up here. Wouldn’t you?
